New Concert Hall
C Concept Design in collaboration with ASSMANN BERRATEN & Planners presented a successful Conceptual Design of the concert hall in Irkutsk, Russia to the governor. It will be a part of the new cultural development area of Irkutsk on the riverside under the patronage of their governor Denis Matsuev. The acclaimed classical pianist was the inspiration for Irkutsk programming broadening into the arts.
Irkutsk is the de facto capital of eastern Siberia and has seen a tourist boom becoming the most popular stop on the Trans-Siberian railway between Moscow and all east points. This new development will bring a cultural hub to the local people and tourists.
This transformational concert hall will face the river and have exceptional acoustics with two venues for performances. The Large Hall will be a stage a variety of musical productions with the capacity to seat 1200 people and 115 musicians and the Small Hall will seat 300 people and 35 musicians and 60 choir artists and be a great space for educational programs, chamber, and interactive concerts, performances, and workshops for children and adults take place. The acoustic systems of the halls were developed by Nagata acoustics specialist company. Further programming will include a rehearsal hall, technical room, backstage area, cashier, cafe, restaurant, buffet, and VIP lounge.
